Your feedback counts!

The Great Massingham NDP is shaped by the opinion and wishes of residents and, when completed, will be used by our Borough Council in determining planning applications.  On this page you will find details of previous rounds of consultations, past events and analyses of results and feedback. On the left hand of the page are the results of all surveys conducted; information on the right side relates to community meetings and consultation events

Feedback from surveys.

The process of gathering feedback from the community of Great Massingham and relevant stakeholders commenced in March/April 2022 with an opinion survey and has been followed by a survey of local green spaces in April 2023 and most recently a further survey on the landscape views and their relative importance during June 2025. Results from these surveys are provided below.

As further surveys and consultation within the village are undertaken, you will find details on this page.

Community Conversation: Monday October 6th 2025

A Community Conversation was held on Monday 6th October 2025 at 6pm in the Village Hall to discuss where minor expansions to the Great Massingham Development Boundary might increase opportunities for small-scale infill housing. About 20 people attended. This Conversation followed a systematic inspection of the Development Boundary in July 2025. Additionally, it built upon insights gathered from responses to a questionnaire circulated during the May 2023 two-day ‘Public Consultation Event’. These responses indicated a preference among community members (46%) for infill housing within the existing Development Boundary, rather than expanding housing outside of it (28%). The October 6th conversation provided an opportunity for attendees to discuss the merits and drawbacks to changing the Development Boundary.

Residents are now invited to look at the three documents below for further information and complete a questionnaire that asks for your opinion on the proposed changes. To do this, click on the link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/295HRC8 , answer the 5 questions and submit by clicking on the green “Done” button at the end. Please complete and return this BEFORE the end of October.
